🌿 Why I Chose to Combine Nutrition, Ayurveda and Orthomolecular Therapy to Support Women (and to Heal Myself Too)

From a young age, I’ve been fascinated by the human body. Every cell, every system, every physiological mechanism… it all felt (and still feels) like a masterpiece. That fascination is what led me to become a nutritionist — the desire to understand how the body works and how we can care for it with science, consciousness, and respect.
But over time, something became clear: the body is not just flesh and bones. Health is not just a set of lab results within range. And real healing doesn’t only come from outside — it also comes from within.
✨ The science that shaped me — and the spirituality that transformed me
I’m a nutritionist with a master’s in health sciences, grounded in conventional medical knowledge. I’ve studied hard, researched deeply, and worked to understand the human body with precision. But at the same time, something always felt missing — soul, spirituality, integration.
When I discovered Orthomolecular Therapy, I entered a world where the details truly matter — biochemical imbalances, micronutrient needs, oxidative stress, and the subtle signs the body gives us. It opened my eyes to a more personalized, functional, and preventive approach to health.
Then came the calling of Ayurveda — which I will begin formally studying next month. Even just by exploring its principles, I realized there’s no way to separate the body from the mind, or health from the spirit. Ayurveda is an ancient science that, in so many ways, already knew what modern medicine is only now starting to validate.

💉 When they told me I’d need iron infusions for life
Last year, I went through a personal experience that deeply impacted me. I was nearly anemic, had to undergo an iron infusion, and was told by my doctor that — because I’m a woman, menstruate every month, and follow a vegetarian diet — I would need to repeat this procedure every year for the rest of my life.
In that moment, something inside me said: no. Not because I reject medicine — but because I refuse to believe that artificial solutions are the only answer. I believe the body has wisdom. I believe we can seek balance through awareness, nutrition, lifestyle, and self-knowledge. I cannot accept limitations as destiny.
🌸 The dream of becoming a mother — and preparing myself on more than just the physical level
Today, I’m planning to become a mother next year. And like many women, I started looking for information on how to prepare. I found plenty about folic acid, check-ups, and lab work… but very little about preparing the soul, the energy, the emotional body, the mind.
I want more than just knowing the best dose of a supplement. I want to learn (and share) how to become a mother on every level — physical, mental, and spiritual.
🤍 Why I created this blog
This space was born from one wish: that no woman should have to search in a thousand different places to care for herself. I want to gather here everything I’ve learned and continue to learn — from science to ancient wisdom. I want to talk about nutrition with depth, Ayurveda with heart, and orthomolecular care with integrity. I want you to see yourself as a whole — with compassion, truth, and a vision for long-term wellbeing.
If you’ve read this far, know that this blog is for you:
If you want to care for your body without ignoring your mind;
If you’re looking for balance, not perfection;
If you dream of becoming a mother, already are one, or are simply learning to be there for yourself again;
If you want to understand your body and master your mind.
Thank you for being here. Let’s walk this journey together.
With love,
Sarah Almenara
